Mercedes-Benz Metris Van Wins "Best Commercial Vehicle" Award at 2015 TAWA Texas Truck Rodeo

ATLANTA – The 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris midsize commercial van won the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) “Best Commercial Vehicle” award at this year’s TAWA Texas Truck Rodeo™. The two-day event, held at the historic Knibbe Ranch outside San Antonio,Texas, took place on October 8-9, 2015.
Eighty-eight vehicles vied for awards in more than 20 categories during the two-day Truck Rodeo competition at Knibbe Ranch. With 69 members of the Texas Auto Writer’s Association on hand, the 2016 Metris was examined and test driven extensively in the Texas Hill Country. Competing head-to-head against various commercial van offerings, the Metris impressed with itssmooth ride, exclusive safety features, cargo hauling prowess and overall refinement.
Available in both passenger and cargo configurations, the Metris is a new, right-sized van offering from Mercedes-Benz that is larger than small vans and smaller than large vans. The CargoVan starts at $28,950, and the Passenger Van starts at $32,500 (excluding $995 destination/delivery charge for both vans).
