Iconic Waikiki Hotel Introduces Two New Luxury Suites for Discerning Travelers
HONOLULU, July 15, 2025 -- Halekulani, Oahu's most acclaimed luxury hotel located on the beach at Waikiki, today unveils two new Premier Suites, The Bungalow and The Penthouse. Designed for guests seeking a truly exceptional stay in the heart of Waikiki, the new accommodations represent the epitome of sophistication and elegance, expanding the hotel's existing collection of three Premier Suites to a total of five.

The Bungalow
Designed by the renowned New York firm Champalimaud, The Bungalow pays homage to the original bungalows that defined the hotel in the early 1900s, offering a modern, luxurious reinterpretation with timeless charm. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, the foyer and lanai feature hand-blown glass sconces and custom trellis woodwork by a master carpenter covered in the beautiful vining plant Thunbergia fragrans. Guests enjoy privacy and convenience with direct access to Halekulani's signature Orchid pool, including a private patio and cabana with breathtaking views. Additional features include a lavish bedroom seamlessly connected to a bathroom with a sleek modern soaking tub, and a curated private art collection with works from local ceramicist Christopher Edwards.
The Penthouse
Boasting sophisticated mid-century Hawaiian design, The Penthouse features expansive living spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a wraparound lanai with panoramic ocean views. Vintage art pieces from Honolulu's antique shop, Hound & Quail, decorate the space, along with a retro record player and a curated vinyl collection. Additional amenities include a private tiki bar and personal mixologist, luxurious master suite with a spacious bathroom, and an outdoor entertainment area that comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests.
The Bungalow and The Penthouse join the hotel's existing collection of Premier Suites—the Royal Suite, Orchid Suite and Halekulani Suite, designed by Vera Wang.
