InventHelp Inventor Develops New Safety Feature for Boats (HOF-708)
PITTSBURGH, Aug. 20, 2025 -- "While hanging out behind my beached boat, I recognized the hidden danger of the propeller underwater. This inspired me to create a propeller cover designed to enhance safety by protecting individuals from the sharp edges and potential hazards of the submerged propeller when swimming, floating, or playing in the water or on a float mat behind the boat," said an inventor, from Katy, Texas. The SAFE PROP would provide added safety and peace of mind for boaters, and it could help prevent damage to the propellor."
The patent-pending SAFE PROP provides personal protection from the propeller of a marine engine. In doing so, it would greatly reduce the risk of a swimmer that is out of sight from contacting the sharp metal blades of a propeller. As a result, it increases safety and helps prevent serious accidents. The invention features a simple and protective design that is easy to apply so it is ideal for boat owners and boating enthusiasts.
The original design was submitted to the Houston sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
