POM Promotes Two Management Members; Appoints New CFOPLYMOUTH, Mich., May 25 Precision Optical Manufacturing (POM) has announced the promotions of two of its management members, Timothy Skszek and Jennifer Foss, and the appointment of Lenore Olson as the company's chief financial officer. Skszek has been named vice president of operations. In this position, he is responsible for all manufacturing processes, production operations and engineering services offered by POM. He also collaborates with company president Dwight Morgan on corporate growth strategy. Prior to this position, Skszek served as POM's plant manager. He has also served as superintendent of the Plant Engineering department at Ford Motor Co., and held several project management positions with FANUC Robotics North America, Inc. Skszek received his bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering technology from Western Michigan University, and a master's degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Foss has been named director of marketing and corporate communications. In this position, she is responsible for directing the company's marketing strategy and integrated marketing communications plan. Prior to this position, Foss served as manager of marketing and corporate communications for POM. She has also served as a marketing communications coordinator at Meritor Automotive, Inc., public and media relations specialist for FANUC Robotics North America, Inc., and as a reporter for The Daily Tribune in Royal Oak, Mich. Foss received her bachelor's degree in journalism from Michigan State University and is pursuing a master's degree in management from Walsh College, Troy, Mich. Olson has been named POM's chief financial officer. In this position, she is responsible for planning the corporation's financial and accounting strategy, and directing all financial functions of POM. Prior to her arrival at POM, Olson served as chief operating officer/chief financial officer of the Meyer Jewelry Company, accounting manager for Fibercraft Descon, Inc., and in financial roles of increasing responsibility for Electronic Data Systems. Olson earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, Calif. She is a certified public accountant. POM, based in Plymouth, Mich., is one of the world's first companies to introduce a reliable, laser-based direct metal fabrication process capable of producing functional metal prototype parts, as well as prototype and production tooling associated with the plastic injection molding and die casting markets.
