2000 Chevrolet Impala -- First launched in 1958, the Impala carries the distinction of being Chevrolet's best-selling nameplate in history -- with 13 million in sales since their introduction. After taking a four year hiatus, the now front-wheel drive Impala is built on a stretched version of GM's mid-size platform. With unique and modern styling inside and out, the Impala feels larger and roomier than most GM mid-sized vehicles. It has numerous creature comforts, a cushy ride, and impressive safety features. Two engine choices available, 3400 or 3800 V6's that pump out 180 horsepower (@5200 rpm) with 204 lbs-ft of torque (@4000 rpm) and 200 horsepower with 225 lbs-ft torque, respectively.
