Can a half-ton working-persons' truck show some class? Oh yeah. All it
takes is a beefy 6.0 liter V8 outputting 325 horsepower and an impressive
370 foot-pounds of torque at 4,000 rpm. Combine that with a towing
capacity of a mere 8,700 pounds and you've got the brawn needed to get the
work done.
On the beauty side, start with clean, uncomplicated exterior styling then
add a plush cabin with all the luxurious features you'd expect in an upper
end SUV: leather seats, key-less entry, fog lights built-in to the fascia,
good sound system, and 17-inch wheels. As we transported the four past
champions of the Casa Jackson Memorial Tournament this week, we heard
plenty of praise for this truck - most notably the appreciation of the
legroom and comfort of the 2nd seat in the crew cab. We were also
impressed with its light and precise steering, solid handling, superb
brakes, and gentle ride. Looks like a good truck just got better!
